KABUL: U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the recently signed U.S.-Saudi civil nuclear cooperation agreement will not be implemented unless Saudi Arabia normalizes relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords.
Trump said Saudi Arabia must establish diplomatic relations with Israel before the agreement can take effect.
The United States and Saudi Arabia recently signed a civil nuclear cooperation agreement that would allow the kingdom to build civilian nuclear reactors and enrich uranium using U.S. technology, subject to the agreement’s legal and congressional approval process.
