Over 97,000 Afghans return from Iran and Pakistan in one month

KABUL: The High Commission for Addressing Returnees’ Issues has announced that over 97,000 Afghan migrants returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan during the month of Saratan 1405 solar year.

According to the commission, 14,539 migrant families, comprising 97,277 individuals, returned to Afghanistan during the reporting period.

The commission said returning migrants received a range of services, including registration, transportation, cash assistance, healthcare services, and SIM card distribution.

The commission further said that 4,054 SIM cards were distributed, 11,452 families were allocated residential land plots, and 15,159 families were transported to their home provinces.

The commission emphasized that efforts to support and address the needs of returning migrants will continue across different parts of the country.
