KABUL: Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, met with Türkiye’s Chargé d’Affaires, Sadin Yildiz, to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in agriculture, trade, and investment.
According to the ministry, the meeting focused on strengthening trade relations, increasing exports of Afghan agricultural products, and facilitating the visa process for Afghan businesspeople and patients.
Minister Omari said that closer coordination between traders from the two countries would help boost exports of Afghan agricultural products to Türkiye and, from there, to third-country markets.
Meanwhile, Yildiz said that Türkiye provides visa facilitation for credible and legitimate businesspeople and continues to support Afghan farmers through development programs implemented by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
He added that Türkiye has also cooperated with Afghanistan’s Ministry of Agriculture in the distribution of improved seeds, agricultural inputs, and the marketing of Afghan agricultural products.
