KABUL: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health has inaugurated a new health center worth $385,000 in Deh Rawood District of Uruzgan province, with financial support from UNHCR.
According to a ministry statement, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Public Health Minister Mawlavi Noor Jalal Jalali and his accompanying delegation.
The New Community Health Center (NEW CHC) was built on a 5,096-square-meter site, said the statement, adding that the facility will improve local residents’ access to essential healthcare services and help address key medical needs in the area.
The ministry expressed hope that the new center will play an important role in expanding access to healthcare and improving the overall health of communities in the district.
