KABUL: The Ministry of Interior Affairs says counter-narcotics forces have seized 133,000 narcotic pills during an operation in the third police district of Zaranj, the capital of Nimroz province.
In a statement, the ministry said one suspect was arrested in connection with the seizure and will be referred to judicial authorities following preliminary investigations.
The operation comes amid ongoing counter-narcotics efforts across Afghanistan, where authorities have carried out similar operations and arrested numerous suspects in several provinces in recent months.
