KABUL: At least 18 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, marking one of the deadliest days in recent weeks, according to media reports.
Reuters reported on Monday that Israeli strikes hit northern, central, and southern Gaza, with displaced persons’ tents and residential homes among the locations struck.
The report said women and children were among the casualties.
Media reports had earlier said at least 14 Palestinians were martyred in Israeli attacks on Gaza on Sunday.
According to health authorities in Gaza, at least 1,230 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire was established in October.
International organizations and humanitarian agencies have repeatedly warned of the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza and called for the protection of civilians and the immediate delivery of humanitarian assistance.
