ASQA returns 54-ton shipment of low-quality ceramic tiles

KABUL: Afghanistan’s Standards and Quality Authority (ASQA) has announced that its Western Zone Quality Directorate at the Rozanak border crossing has returned a 54-ton shipment of ceramic tiles after determining that it failed to meet the country’s required quality standards.

According to ASQA, the shipment was identified as low-quality following technical inspections and was subsequently sent back to the exporting country.

The Standards and Quality Authority emphasized that inspections and quality control of imported goods will continue at border crossings across the country to prevent substandard products from entering Afghanistan’s markets.
