KABUL: The police forces of Herat during an operation arrested two individuals in connection with the murder of a woman in Herat province, the Ministry of Interior Affairs said in a statement.
According to the statement, the suspects fled to Nimroz province after committing the murder and then crossed into a neighboring country in an attempt to leave Afghanistan.
The ministry added that security forces carried out operations in Nimroz, facilitated the suspects’ return and arrest, and transferred them to Herat for further investigation.
According to the ministry the arrested individuals have confessed to the crime and will be handed over to judicial and legal authorities after their case files are completed.
