KABUL: The European Union says it has continued to support the people of Afghanistan since the political changes in August 2021, providing more than €2 billion in assistance for humanitarian aid, basic services and livelihoods.
The EU said its assistance is delivered through UN agencies, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Red Crescent and the World Bank.
The European Union also said that although it does not recognize the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, it continues to engage with Afghanistan on issues including humanitarian assistance, human rights, migration, counterterrorism and regional stability.
