Saudi and Pakistani Foreign Ministers express concern over recent regional developments

KABUL: In a meeting, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan, and Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, expressed concern over recent developments in the region, Pakistan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, the Pakistani Foreign Minister, said in a message on X said: “Restraint is in the interest of peace, security and stability in the region”.

“We discussed various aspects of our multidimensional bilateral cooperation, reiterated the common resolve to further solidifying the existing fraternal bond and expressed deep concern at the recent escalation in the region calling for restraint in the interest of regional as well as global peace, security and stability,” he twitted.

In the meeting, also the two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Riyadh and Islamabad.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, arrived in Pakistan on a two-day visit on Monday afternoon.
