JALALABAD: Police Spokesman of the Nangarhar Police Command Sayed Tayeb Hammad, says a young man has committed suicide in Kama district of the province.
Sayed Tayeb Hamad, spokesperson for the provincial police command, said, citing the victim’s family, that the young man had asked his family for money to travel abroad, but they did not provide it.
According to Hamad, the young man became upset with his family following the dispute and later committed suicide.
Similar incidents have previously been reported in several Afghan provinces, with officials and local sources in some cases linking them to family disputes and domestic tensions.
