KABUL: The security officials of the country’s western province of Herat say an investigation is underway into a killing in the city’s fourth police district.
Sayed Masoud Hosseini, spokesperson for the Herat police command, told Radio Omid that initial findings indicate the incident was the result of a personal dispute and was not linked to broader insecurity.
Hosseini said security and intelligence forces have launched an investigation to identify those responsible and have so far gathered important information about the incident.
He added that several suspects are being pursued by security forces, with efforts underway to arrest them and hand them over to judicial authorities.
