KABUL: A company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed interest in investing in the construction of the second Salang Tunnel and a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Afghanistan, the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs said.
The office said the investment proposal by HHM Global Industry Group was reviewed during a meeting of the Interministerial Investment Committee.
The committee welcomed the company’s interest and assured it that relevant ministries and government agencies would provide the necessary cooperation to facilitate the investments.
The committee also asked the Emirati company to prepare detailed investment proposals for the second Salang Tunnel, a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, and other areas, and submit them for review and assessment.
