KABUL: A delegation of Bangladeshi religious scholars, traders and industrialists has met with Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the Islamic Emirate’s Foreign Minister, to discuss political and economic engagement between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muttaqi expressed confidence in the investment and trade opportunities that have emerged in Afghanistan.
He also stressed the need to strengthen political, economic and cultural engagement between Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the Bangladeshi delegation said relations between the two countries could be further expanded through constructive engagement between their governments and peoples.
The delegation had earlier met with Afghanistan’s Minister of Economy, Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, to discuss opportunities for expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
