KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health has announced thousands of new positions at the central level and in provinces across the country.
Qari Abdul Wali Sediqi, the ministry’s Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration, said 4,800 positions have been included in the ministry’s new staffing structure, of which 1,200 are newly created positions.
Radio Omid’s reporter said the deputy minister made the remarks during a press conference.
According to Sediqi, 240 positions have been allocated at the central level, 1,800 positions in various provinces, and another 1,800 positions for Dar-ul-Shifa Hospital.
Ministry officials said recruitment for the positions will be conducted through open competition and in a transparent manner, with qualified and professional candidates appointed to the posts.
The Ministry of Public Health added that hiring qualified health professionals will play an important role in improving the quality of healthcare services and providing better services to citizens.
