KABUL: The Kabul Directorate of Information and Culture says measures have been launched to assess potential risks of a mountain landslide in the Chihil Sutun area of Kabul’s 7th district, following an order from the Kabul governor.
In a statement, the directorate said relevant authorities had been instructed to closely monitor the situation, protect local residents, and take necessary measures to prevent potential damage.
The authorities have also been asked to assess the possible causes of a mountain landslide and its risks, and to take immediate measures to ensure residents’ safety and security if necessary.
The assessment follows the circulation of a social media video showing a crack near the minaret on top of Chihil Sutun Hill in Kabul.
