KABUL: Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) Chief Executive Officer Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar held a joint meeting with representatives of Kabul’s industrial sector to discuss improving electricity services, existing challenges, and possible solutions.
In a statement, DABS quoted Hamkar as saying the company has launched several projects to address electricity shortages. He said that once the projects are completed, they are expected to significantly ease power shortages and help ensure a more stable electricity supply for the industrial sector.
Hamkar assured industrialists that DABS is ready to address their concerns and that its doors are open to them.
DABS Operations Director Engineer Safiullah Ahmadzai said during the meeting that the company was making efforts to use all available capacity to provide reliable electricity to industrial parks.
He added that equipment worth 137 million Afghanis has been purchased to address the overloading problems in Kabul’s industrial park, and efforts are underway to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
DABS is responsible for the generation, import, transmission, and distribution of electricity across Afghanistan and has identified reliable power supply as a key requirement for industrial and economic development.
