KABUL: Turkmenistan’s Embassy in Pakistan says the completion of a key section of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline will pave the way for gas supplies to Afghanistan and Pakistan from 2027.
Turkmen Ambassador to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov said construction of the Serhetabat-Herat section of the pipeline is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
The TAPI pipeline is about 1,800 kilometers long and is designed to transport 33 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Pakistan and India.
