KABUL: Afghan and Kazakh traders have signed trade agreements worth $20 million at a business meeting, the Herat provincial authorities said.
According to a statement from Herat governor’s office , the agreements were signed in the presence of Herat Governor Shaikh Maulana Islam Jar, Kazakhstan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Yerkin Tukumov, and a number of traders from both countries.
Officials at the meeting described Kazakhstan as one of Afghanistan’s important trading partners and said the agreements would facilitate the export of agricultural and locally manufactured products from Herat to Central Asian countries.
