Kandahar officials reject Pakistan military spokesperson’s claim

KANDAHAR: The Kandahar governor’s office has rejected a claim by a spokesperson for Pakistan’s military that a meeting was held under the leadership of Kandahar’s governor with foreign fighters.

In a post on X, the governor’s office described the claim as “propaganda,” saying Pakistan’s military regime was attempting to use such allegations to justify civilian casualties and other actions carried out in Afghanistan.

The provincial administration added that Afghanistan does not need to invite foreign fighters or hold meetings and talks with them.
