KABUL: The Procurement Commission, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, has approved 16 projects worth more than 7 billion Afghanis.
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs said on X that 34 projects were reviewed during the meeting and in addition to approving 16 projects, the commission approved necessary amendments to nine projects and sent five projects out for bidding for a second time.
The approved projects include the construction and reconstruction of roads and hospitals, a transport terminal, a parking facility at the Islam Qala customs facility, and the procurement of technical and medical equipment.
According to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, the costs of the projects will be covered by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan.
