KABUL: Azerbaijani Ambassador Ilham Mohammadov met with Shaikh Abdul Rahman Tayebi, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture for Arts and Culture, in Kabul to discuss expanding cultural and artistic cooperation and protecting historical heritage.
The Ministry of Information and Culture said the two sides emphasized strengthening cultural ties, exchanging experiences, and promoting cooperation between cultural institutions in the two countries.
The discussions included holding joint art exhibitions, exchanging artists and cultural delegations, cooperating on the preservation and restoration of historical sites, expanding collaboration between museums and galleries, and digitizing historical documents and manuscripts.
The Azerbaijani ambassador also invited Tayebi to attend the seventh World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, scheduled to be held in Baku in late October.
Tayebi accepted the invitation and stressed the need to follow up on joint cultural initiatives between Afghanistan and Azerbaijan.
