KABUL: Pakistan’s Army Chief, General Asim Munir, concluded his visit to Tehran without making significant progress toward restarting negotiations between Iran and the United States.
Iran’s IRNA news agency reported the end of Munir’s visit but did not provide details about its outcomes or achievements.
According to reports, Munir met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and several other senior officials during his visit. He traveled to Tehran in an effort to help create conditions for the resumption of peace talks between Iran and the United States.
During his meeting with Munir, Pezeshkian reportedly said that if Iran resumed negotiations with the United States, Washington would attack Iran again.
Pakistan has not yet officially commented on reports regarding the outcome of Munir’s visit.
