KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement today that nearly two thousand Afghan migrants have been expelled or voluntarily returned to the country from Iran and Pakistan.
According to the statement, during the past two days, 1,022 Afghan migrants from Iran and 825 others from Pakistan have been forcibly or voluntarily returned to the country, as well as necessary facilities have been provided to them by the ministry.
The expelled Afghan migrants have been referred to active migration international institutions to receive assistance.
It should be noted that international organizations and agencies have expressed serious concerns since the beginning of the new phase of expelling Afghan migrants from Pakistan.
