Laundry soap factory inaugurated in Takhar

KABUL: A soap factory worth 9 million Afghani (Some 124,200 US Dollars) has been inaugurated in Takhar, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement today.

According to the statement, the factory has been established in Taluqan city and will produce up to 15,000 pieces of soap daily.

With the inauguration of the factory job opportunities have been provided to scores of individuals.

The Ministry of Industry also added that the mentioned factory imports raw materials for soap production from Iran, Indonesia, and Malaysia, and produces laundry soaps in various forms.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has recently announced a ban on the sale and use of laundry Vaseline in the country.
