Minister of Industry and Commerce meets Tatarstan President, bilateral trade relations to be discussed

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, Nooruddin Azizi, during his trip to Kazan, met with Rustam Nurgaliyevich Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, the ministry said in a statement.

According to statement, the meeting took place on the sidelines of the Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum, which is currently being held in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In the meeting, bilateral trade relations, Mr. Minnikhanov’s trip to Kabul, the establishment of a Russia-Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce in Kabul, water transfer, investment in power generation, and the initiation of practical steps to transfer Russian export goods to Afghanistan via Central Asian countries, have been discussed between the two sides.

In the meeting, some cabinet members of that country also attended.

The Republic of Tatarstan is hosting the Russia-Islamic World Economic Forum until May 19 of the current year.
