KABUL: As many as 50 people died following floods in the country’s western province of Ghor, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said in a statement today.
The floods occurred in Firoz Koh city, Capital of Ghor, districts of Dawlatyar, Tolak, Shahrak, Dolina, Murghab and Lal o Sarjangle and inflected heavy financial and human losses, said the statement.
It has been said that due heavy floods transportation routes have been closed to the traffic and thousands of livestock perished and hundreds of hectares of agricultural land and bridges have been destroyed.
