Over 160 development projects inaugurated in Kunar

KABUL: The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development said in a statement today that 162 development projects worth 262 million Afghani (some 3,641,800 US dollars) have been inaugurated in Kunar province, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the projects have been built through the “Afghanistan Social and Livelihood Support” program in Nari and Souki districts of Kunar province.
The projects included the reconstruction, graveling, rural roads, cleaning of canals and water reservoirs, as well as the construction of culverts, sidewalks, alleys and protective walls.
The Projects have been funded by the United Nations Office for Projects Services (UNOPS), said the statement.
With the implementation of the projects job opportunities have been provided to hundreds of people and their problems have been addressed.
