KABUL: At least 50 people have been martyred and hundreds of houses destroyed due to devastating floods in Faryab province.
Yesterday’s flash floods have inflected heavy financial and human losses in six districts of the province.
Due to heavy floods, 41 people have lost their lives in Belcheragh district, 5 people in Chelgazi and one person in Qarghan district of the province.
According to the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, more than 560 houses and 850 acres of agricultural land have been washed out in the flash floods in Faryab province.
