IEA emphasizes meaningful participation in 3rd Doha meeting

KABUL: The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, in a meeting with Tomas Niklasson, the European Union’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, once again emphasized on the meaningful participation of the Islamic Emirate delegation in the 3rd United Nations meeting in Doha, Qatar.
In the meeting, the main topics discussed between the two sides were the 3rd UN meeting in Doha, Qatar, and the participation of the Islamic Emirate delegation.

In relation to the Doha meeting, Minister Muttaqi said that they had constructive discussions with Rosemary DiCarlo, the UN Under-Secretary-General.
Minister Muttaqi added that the assessment regarding participation in the Doha meeting is ongoing, and the position of the Islamic Emirate will be announced at the end of the assessment.
He stated that the Islamic Emirate policy is based on a balanced and positive engagement with all countries of the world.
It is noteworthy that previously, there have also been meetings between officials of the Islamic Emirate and diplomats from various countries regarding the third Doha meeting.
