DOHA: The spokesman of the Islamic Emirate and head of the Afghan delegation Mawlavi Zabihullah Mujahid, said in the third Doha meeting that the IEA and the people of Afghanistan have obtained their political freedom after much struggle and sacrifice and now they are seeking economic freedom.
Mawlavi Mujahid made these remarks (on Sunday night, July 1) at the opening of the third Doha meeting.
In his speeches, which lasted about 12 minutes, Mujahid talked about the Islamic Emirate’s strong will for positive engagement of Afghanistan with the world within the framework of mutual respect for independence and religious, national and cultural values.
Referring to the unilateral and multilateral economic sanctions of some countries, Mawlavi Mujahid asked the participants of the third Doha meeting whether this is fair. At the same time, he emphasized the lifting of unilateral and multilateral sanctions of countries on the financial and banking sector, adding that these sanctions have taken the lifeline of the people and the economy of Afghanistan.
“The essential element of Afghanistan’s foreign policy is economy-centricity because, with this element in mind, we can provide the possibility of regional connectivity,” he said in the meeting.
Addressing the meeting participants, Mujahid said that the difference of views between Afghanistan and some countries is a natural issue, but it is important that there is a well for positive engagement and expansion of relations with the Islamic Emirate.

For the first time, the delegation of the Islamic Emirate participated in the third Doha meeting and after the opening speech by the UN Deputy Secretary-General and the representative of the host country, presented the position and stance of the Islamic Emirate on regional and global issues, including finance, banking, and counter-narcotics.
