NPC approves 12 projects worth 5 billion Afghanis

KABUL: The National Procurement Commission (NPC), meeting was held today with the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, on the chair, approved 12 development projects worth 5 billion Afghanis (some 70,250,000 US Dollars), his office said in a statement today.

According to the statement, a total of 22 projects were proposed for approval, of which 12 were approved, 3 were amended, and 7 others were referred back to the technical teams of the commission for further review.

The approved projects include the construction of health centers in remote areas of the country, the asphalting of the second section of the Badghis-Faryab highway, the construction of retaining walls along the highway, the installation of transformers at the Noor al-Jihad substation in Herat, and some other projects, said the statement.

It should be said that the projects will be built with the financial support of the Islamic Emirate.
