Agreements worth nearly $7 mln signed between Ministry of Refugee and five NGOs

KABUL: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations, on Tuesday, signed cooperation agreements worth $6.7 million with five Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), the ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, the “Rehabilitation and Integration of Afghan Society” organization is obligated to construct shelters worth $6,115,318 million for 1,120 families in the provinces of Balkh, Badakhshan, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Samangan, Faryab, Baghlan, Takhar and Kunduz.
The “Investment Facilitation Organization in Afghanistan” will allocate $237,002 for organizing seminars for 50 people and providing financial and technical support to 30 families in Kabul and Nangarhar, said the statement adding the “Needy Man Foundation” will spend $237,000 on cash assistance, awareness-raising and rehabilitation of 150 water wells.
Also the “Humanitarian Coordination Organization” will spend $84,098 on water supply and construction of mud walls in Nangarhar province, while the “Public Welfare Organization” will spend $10,000 to provide health assistance packages for 220 families.
Efforts are underway by both governmental and non-governmental entities to facilitate various sectors for the citizens of the country.
