China donates $14 million to Afghanistan

KABUL: The People’s Republic of China ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Xing, in a meeting with the Acting Economy Minister Qari Din Mohammad Hanif, said that his country will donate $14 million to Afghanistan, the ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chinese ambassador announced $14 million to address the problems of returning immigrants from the neighboring countries, the statement said.
In the meeting, the two sides discussed a series of important issues including the strengthening of bilateral economic and commercial cooperation, construction of roads, mining and continuing capacity-building of Emirati staff, the statement said.
