KABUL: The Acting Minister of Water and Energy Mullah Abdul Latif Mansoor, said that the construction of the Shah Wa Arus Dam in the Shakardara district of Kabul province has been completed and is ready for inauguration.
He made the remarks today at the government accountability program to the nation, held at the Government Media and Information Center (GMIC).
“The construction work on the Shah Wa Arus Dam is 100% complete, and the dam will produce 1.2 megawatts of electricity and irrigate 27,000 hectares of land,” he said.
He also added that in addition to this, the Shah Wa Arus Dam will also provide drinking water for 20,000 families.
The Shah Wa Aroos Dam is located in the Shakardara district of Kabul province, which has attracted a lot of domestic tourists in recent years.
