KABUL: The Chief of Intelligence and Border Services of Uzbekistan, Abdul Salam Azizov, stated that the intelligence forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan are on the frontline in the fight against ISIS (Khawarij).
He made the remarks today [Wednesday, September 05] during a general meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
“The Islamic Emirate is combating terrorism within its capabilities,” he said and called for cooperation with the intelligence and security forces of the Islamic Emirate in the fight against terrorism.”
Uzbek media quoting the chief of intelligence of Uzbekistan, reported that cooperation with the Islamic Emirate in combating ISIS is deemed crucial.
The Islamic Emirate has engaged in serious efforts against ISIS over the past three years, effectively limiting its ability to operate.
