KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, met with Japanese Ambassador Takayoshi Kuromaya in Kabul yesterday and discussed bilateral cooperation.
In the meeting, Kuromaya expressed sympathy for the recent incident in Kabul and also praised the Islamic Emirate’s fight against drugs.
He added that his country is interested in the protection of historical heritage and monuments and capacity building of related institutions in Afghanistan.
Mr. Kuromaya added that his country is planning to build 165 primary schools in nine provinces of Afghanistan.
He said: “Tokyo is monitoring the Islamic Emirate improvement, and this country is also trying to establish relations between the G7 countries and the Islamic Emirate.
Deputy Prime Minister for Political Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, welcomed the Japanese ambassador and thanked his country’s assistance in various fields.
Referring to the relations between the two countries, Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that the relations between Kabul and Tokyo are very important and beneficial to both sides.
