KABUL: The governments of Iraq and the United States have reached an agreement regarding the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq, Reuters reported on Friday night.
The report states that the plan for the withdrawal of U.S. forces requires approval from the leadership of both governments to be implemented.
The U.S. officials told the media that discussions are ongoing regarding the announcement of the timeline for the withdrawal.
The Western media outlets says that have quoted several U.S. and Iraqi officials, while reporting the issue.
It has been around two decades that the U.S. forces are in Iraq, with approximately 2,500 personnel currently stationed in the country.
