Ethnic, sectarian, and linguistic discriminations have no place in Islamic Emirate

KABUL: The deputy spokesman of the Islamic Emirate Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said in a statement on Tuesday that ethnic, sectarian, and linguistic discriminations have no place in the Islamic Emirate.
“The Islamic Emirate is committed to upholding national unity and cohesion among the diverse ethnic groups living in Afghanistan,” he said adding that the Islamic Emirate will not allow anyone to promote ethnic, linguistic, or sectarian discriminations within the country.
According to the statement, he added that the Islamic Emirate forces are responsible for maintaining security and protecting the borders of Afghanistan.
These statements appear to be a response to recent comments made by Hassan Kazemi Qomi, the Iranian ambassador and special representative for Afghanistan.
