Nearly 40,000 families received humanitarian aids in two months, spokesman

KABUL: The spokesman of the Afghan National Disaster Management Authority, Mullah Janan Sayeq, said in a statement today, that around 40,000 families received humanitarian aids in the past two months.

The aids included foodstuff and non-food stuff, provided by the Emirati and non-Emirati organizations across the country, said the statement.

According to the statement, he went on as saying that from the beginning of the current month, the rain started in Herat, Badghis, Daikundi, Nangarhar, Laghman, Farah, Paktia, Nangarhar and Ghazni provinces.

“As a result of the recent rains, 13 people lost their lives, 15 wounded, 109 residential houses, and 650 acres of land have been washed out,” he said.
