Historical ties between Afghanistan and China should be further strengthened, Hanafi

KABUL: The Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs Mawlavi Abdul Salam Hanafi, in a meeting with Mawlavi Asadullah Bilal Karimi IEA ambassador to China, said that the embassy’s officials should work more on strengthening the historical relations between Kabul and Beijing, according to a statement from on Friday.

Ambassador Mawlavi Asadullah Bilal Karimi, shared his-led embassy’s activities, mentioning that the presence of a large number of Afghan traders and students in China has enabled consular services in Beijing to be provided regularly and efficiently, said the statement.

According to the statement, in the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister praised the current activities of the Afghan embassy in Beijing and called on the ambassador to work more for further expansion of Kabul-Beijing historical relations.

China was the first foreign country to accept the credentials of the Islamic Emirate’s ambassador.
