KABUL: Presided over by the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi, a meeting was held to discuss the participation of Afghanistan in the Halal Istanbul International Exhibition 2024 for the first time in Turkiye, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
According to the statement, the meeting was attended by representatives of sectorial chambers as well as the representatives of the Union of Carpet Manufacturers and Exporters, discussing the provision of facilities for the country’s participants in the exhibition.
The Exhibition, which is supposed to be held from November 27-30, 2024, in Istanbul city of Turkiye, for the first time, the leadership of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce as well as the country’s private sector have been officially invited to participate the said expo and exhibit their products.
Halal Exhibition-Istanbul is one of the biggest expos in Islamic world and the third biggest expo in the world, participating by 60 country’s trade ministers and traders, industrialists and investors of 125 countries.
