KABUL: Afghanistan private sector delegation led by the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce Nooruddin Azizi visited the world’s largest dry port in Almaty of Kazakhstan, the ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
The government-private sector delegation of Afghanistan led by Azizi has traveled to that country to discuss the holding of Afghanistan domestic products with the officials of Kazakhstan, the statement said.
According to the statement, the IEA delegation will also participate in the business communication conference, as well as will hold meetings with the authorities of Kazakhstan.
The Khorgos port connects Kazakhstan to China by rail and will soon enter the record books as home to the world’s biggest dry port. Perhaps appropriately, Khorgos occupies one of the furthest points on Earth from any ocean.
