MAZAR-E-SHARIF: The Balkh Mayor Mohammad Kazim Tariq, during a program to the government accountability program, said that the municipality had collected 218 million AFN in revenue during the second quarter of the current solar year.
“In addition to the revenue collection, 43 development projects are under implementation in Mazar-e-Sharif,” he said and urged the government departments, businessmen and residents of the province, to fully cooperate with the municipality in revenue collection.
“Timely payment of revenues can play a crucial role in creating a more comfortable life for the people,” he further said.
It is worth mentioning that municipalities, as state enterprises, finance their operations and implement development projects through their internal revenues.
