KABUL: Nine Afghan refugees who had been imprisoned by Pakistani officials, have recently been released and returned home through the Torkham crossing, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations said in a statement on Wednesday.
As a result of the efforts of the Embassy of Afghanistan in Islamabad, 9 Afghans have been released from the prison of that country, the statement said. Recently over two thousand Afghan prisoners have been released from different prisons of Pakistan who were imprisoned on charges of not having legal documents and returned to their country so far.
