NEPA signed MoU worth $110,000 in Kabul

KABUL: The National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA) today signed a Memorandum of Understanding worth $114,400 with the Resilience, Environment and Humanitarian Aid (REHA) Organization for strengthening advocacy, research relationships, and sustainable development.

The MoU was signed between Dr. Zain-ul-Abidin, Deputy for Professional and Policy Affairs of the National Environmental Protection Agency, and Mohammad Yousuf Hamidian, head of the REHA Organization, according to a statement from the NEPA.

The memorandum aims to coordinate the implementation of activities related to the project aimed at strengthening advocacy, research relationships, and sustainable development priorities between the agency and the REHA organization.

The institute will collaborate with the National Environmental Protection Agency in areas such as environmental advocacy, awareness-raising, capacity building, sustainable development analysis and research, identifying and evaluating relevant agencies in the climate change sector, and organizing five dialogue programs. Afghanistan is recognized as one of the countries most vulnerable to environmental issues and climate change.
