KABUL: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in an interview with Ukrainian radio, stressed the importance of halting Russia’s war in his country through diplomatic channels in the upcoming year.
According to Reuters, President Zelensky highlighted that despite being engaged in war, Russia does not seem opposed to dialogue and negotiation.
He also mentioned that Kyiv will do everything in its power to ensure that the conflict with Russia comes to an end by 2025.
Zelensky’s recent remarks come as the newly elected U.S. President has promised to bring the war in Ukraine to a close soon.
Reports indicate that Donald Trump, after his victory has held discussions regarding the cessation of the war with the presidents of both countries.
