KABUL: Two individuals have been killed in knife attacks carried out by a man in Manhattan city of the United States, according to the Associated Press.
The U.S. police have identified the perpetrator as a 51-year-old man who is currently in custody.
Authorities stated that a construction worker was attacked while he was carrying his work near the Hudson River in Manhattan City.
The attacker launched the second assault on a 68-year-old fisherman while he was fishing in the same area.
Police reported that the assailant had also targeted a woman, who was injured and is currently in critical condition at a hospital.
The motive behind the attacks remains unclear; however, local officials suggested that the suspect may have been influenced by a lack of ensuring justice within the U.S. judicial system.
They noted that the man had recently been convicted in a criminal case.
