KABUL: The newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kabul, Aibak Usmanov, in a meeting, presented a copy of his credentials to the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, the deputy spokesman of the ministry Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal said in a statement Wednesday.
Welcoming the new Uzbek Ambassador, Muttaqi affirmed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan would extend full cooperation in all relevant matters, said the statement.
According to the statement, he highlighted the active presence of both countries’ embassies in their respective capitals as a positive indicator of progress in bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of taking practical steps towards significant economic projects between the two nations.
Meanwhile, the newly appointed ambassador assured to work for the expansion of relations between the two countries.
