10,000 tons of Bamyan’s lead sold, ministry

KABUL: The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum said in a statement on Monday, that 10,000 tons of lead extracted from the Gonde Kotal mine in Bamyan province sold through a competitive bidding process.

According to the statement, the extraction company of Dr. Anwari Achak Helmandi has successfully purchased 10,000 tons of lead at a price of 28,995 Afghanis per ton.

The sale was conducted via a bidding process, which was attended by Mawlavi Hesamuddin Sabari, the Deputy Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Ministry, and representatives from 41 bidding companies.

Mawlavi Sabari emphasized the collective responsibility to strive for greater honesty and transparency in serving the nation and its people, and to utilize available resources effectively for the fundamental development of the country, ultimately aiming to create job opportunities and comfort for fellow citizens.
